The active pulsation dampener is the most efficient way to remove pressure variations on the discharge of the pump.
The Tapflo pulsation dampener works actively with compressed air and a diaphragm, automatically setting the correct pressure to minimize the pulsations.
How it works
The air pressure supplied to the dampener is the same as the one supplied to the pump. The medium flowing through the dampener affects the diaphragm, which by means of the compressed air on the air side compensates the fluctuations of pressure in the discharge line. The air concentrated in the dampeners block works as a spring for the medium flowing through the dampener.
The guardian system is designed to protect the dampener and is a great solution when safety in high risk applications is essential. In this option the dampener has an additional diaphragm and in case of liquid breach the system stops the dampener.
Tapflo offers complete units consisting of a pump and a dampener. Thanks to this solution there is no need to worry about the dampener assembly in the installation and its connection to the pump.
The base enables easier installation of the dampener and ensures that it does not move causing less stress on the inlet / outlet pipes.
